Actress Yaya DaCosta is stepping into advocacy as host of the first Black Maternal Health Festival, aiming to spotlight the Black maternal health crisis through solutions and celebration. A birth worker since 2010, DaCosta draws from personal experience, including her own home birth, to encourage safe, empowering birth options. The online event runs through April 17 during Black Maternal Health Week.
