After the billions and billions of dollars earned in the world by the last Spider Man: No Way Home, there is no more past, present or future. Now that the Multiverse changed all the cards on the table, after Tobey McGuire and his Spider Man, why shouldn’t we bring Krinsten Dunst’s Mary Jane back as well?
When asked about this by People Magazine, the actress affirmed that she would definitely do it again and added “I’ve been asked about that a few times. That’s a no-brainer. That was a huge part of my career and life.”
Moreover, in another interview for W Magazine, she also remembered the iconic upside down kiss scene in the very first Spider Man (2002). She said “I did not feel like it was a famous kiss because Tobey was… water was getting up his nose because of the rain, and then he couldn’t breathe in the Spider Man suit, and then… And it just felt very late at night. I didn’t think about it that way. But the way it was presented to me, Sam [Raimi, director] gave me this book of famous kisses, so that made me realise how romantic and special Sam wanted this to be. Even though it wasn’t necessarily feeling that way with Tobey hanging upside down.”
