Rolling Stone journalist Jenny Eliscu and true crime filmmaker Erin Lee Carr (Mommy Dead and Dearest) have joined forces to create an investigative documentary into the 13 year long and secretive conservatorship of Britney Spears and her fight for personal and financial independence.
The documentary includes interviews with members of Britney’s inner circle along with leaked classified documents. Britney’s conservator, her father Jamie Spears, officially filed to terminate the conservatorship this September after previous documentaries were released earlier this year and resulted in a public outcry on his daughter’s behalf.
Britney vs. Spears will be released on Netflix today, September 28th.
