‘Deep Water’ by Adrian Lyne will not hit theaters!

Apparently the new thriller by Adrian Lyne will be starring the now ex-couple Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas. The film will only be seeing the light of two streaming platforms: Hulu for the United States and Amazon Prime Video in Europe.

The youngest may not be aware of the popularity reached by the director in the 80s thanks to his delicate but erothic films such as ‘Nine and a Half Weeks: A Memoir of a Love Affair’, the thriller ‘Fatal Attraction’ and ‘Indecent Proposal’. Mr Lyne’s last work dates back to 2002 when he presented ‘Unfaithful’ starring Richard Gere.

This time he will tell us the story of a wealthy married couple, Vic and Melinda Val Allen, who are not the representation of pure love. However, the two do not proceed with a divorce to avoid scandals but, despite the fact that they both have affairs with other people, they manage to not leave their family behind. Nevertheless, as soon as some of Mrs. Van Allen’s lovers start dying, her husband becomes the first on the list of suspects for murder.

In addition to Ben Affleck and her ex-girlfriend Ana de Armas, the cast includes Jacob Elordi, Lil Rel Howery, Tracy Letts, Rachel Blanchard, Finn Wittrock and Kristen Connolly. We still don’t have a release date but we are very curious to watch Adrian Lyne’s new work, inspired by Patricia Highsmith’s novel ‘Deep Water’ published in 1957.
