French film ”The Second Act” to premiere at Cannes Film Festival



The highly anticipated French film "The Second Act" is set to kick off the Cannes Film Festival as its opening feature. Directed by Quentin Dupieux, known for his captivating works including "Rubber" (2010), "Wrong" (2012), "Reality" (2014), and "Wrong Cops" (2013), this film promises to captivate audiences with its intriguing narrative.


At its core, "The Second Act" delves into the story of Florence, a woman eager to introduce her father, Guillaume, to David, the man who holds her heart. However, as the plot unfolds, it becomes apparent that David's affections lie elsewhere, leading him to gently nudge Florence toward his friend, Willy. Their rendezvous takes place in a secluded restaurant, setting the scene for a complex tapestry of emotions and hidden agendas.


Marking its presence at Cannes as an "Out of Competition" entry, "The Second Act" is scheduled for screening on the 14th of May, promising an unforgettable cinematic experience for festival attendees.
