From Speed to Sparks: Reeves and Bullock Team Up Again

Nearly three decades after Speed and almost 20 years after The Lake House, Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock are teaming up once again—this time for a romantic thriller in development at Amazon MGM Studios. While plot details remain tightly under wraps, the studio is describing the untitled film as “propulsive,” promising a fast-paced and emotionally charged story. The screenplay is being written by Noah Oppenheim, known for Jackie and Netflix’s upcoming Zero Day.

The project will be produced by a powerhouse team, including Bullock through her Fortis Films banner, Reeves, and longtime collaborator Mark Gordon alongside Bibby Dunn of The Mark Gordon Company. Oppenheim and Sarah Bremner will produce via Prologue Entertainment. The film originated from an idea by Gordon and Oppenheim, who brought it to Reeves and Bullock; the two stars then worked closely with the producers to shape and develop the concept.

Both leads continue to enjoy high-profile careers. Reeves recently reprised his roles as John Wick and Neo, while Bullock has remained a force in both streaming and theatrical releases, including The Lost City and The Unforgivable. Their reunion marks a significant moment for fans eager to see the duo's chemistry reignite on screen.
