The third volume of Guardians of the Galaxy is the last in the franchise according to director James Gunn. But despite this statement, Gunn responded with ‘never say never’ to the question if he could direct Guardians of the Galaxy 4.
The movie, or at least the characters, could live on in other MCU movies but with the third movie not releasing until 2023, it might be too soon to start speculating what the future holds for the Guardians.
