”Jazz Noir” a biopic film dedicated to Chet Baker.
Signed by Dutch director Rolf van Eijk. The film opens on the sudden death of the Jazz icon, who fell from the window of a hotel in the red light district of Amsterdam on 13 May 1988, and retraces his last days of life, at the search for the truth about its end.
The English actor Steve Wall plays Chet Baker. Wall took trumpet lessons and worked on vocals to be more nasal. “I looked for everything related to him, books, interviews and concert videos.” and he continues saying “We wanted it to feel absolutely real. So that even a trumpeter watching the movie thinks that I'm playing. I spent a lot of time working on the sound of his voice and his accent".
