Jon Snow sequel series no longer happening

(Source: Imdb)

After much hope and speculation about a Jon Snow sequel series, the actor has confirmed that will no longer be happening.

Kit Harrington in an interview says: “I hadn't really ever spoken about it, because it was in development. I didn't want it leaked out that it was being developed, and I didn't want the thing to happen where people kind of start theorizing, getting either excited about it or hating the idea of it, when it may never happen. Because in development, you look at every angle, and you see whether it's worth it.

And currently, it's not. Currently, it's off the table, because we all couldn't find the right story to tell that we were all excited about enough. So, we decided to lay down tools with it for the time being. There may be a time in the future where we return to it, but at the moment, no. It's firmly on the shelf.  These comments echo similar to how the finale of the ‘Game of Thrones’ ended with it lacking source material.

A Game of Thrones ended with Jon Snow characters returning back to the Nights Watch with Tormund and Ghost with his sister being queen in the north and his brother ruling the 7 kingdoms with the expectation that the Jon Snow series would show how Westeros was after the death of Cersei and Daenerys.

However other productions like House of the Dragon and A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms still in production with the former getting a second season in the coming months.

Would you like to see a Jon Snow spinoff show ?
