After several months of anticipation since the news of the completion of filming, Clint Eastwood's new movie, titled Juror No. 2, now has an official release date.
Three years after Cry Macho, Eastwood will return to the big screen on November 1st, although only in British theaters for now. This likely means that the film will be released in the United States by the end of the year. As for Italy, there is no confirmed date yet, but considering previous releases, it might debut simultaneously or be postponed to early 2025 to take advantage of the awards season.
The film's cast includes Toni Collette, Nicholas Hoult, Kiefer Sutherland, and Zoey Deutch. The story takes place during a murder trial, where one of the jurors gradually realizes that they were responsible for the victim's death in a car accident and tries to save the defendant without incriminating themselves.
Eastwood, at 94 years old, has expressed a desire to see Juror No. 2, described as his "last film," in theaters soon. Last year, the Hollywood Reporter revealed that Eastwood wanted to find one final project to end his career with dignity. When he found the script for Juror No. 2, he stated that it was "the right one."
However, recent rumors suggest that Eastwood is already searching for a new script to turn into a film, contradicting claims that Juror No. 2 would be his final work.
