Madame Web, the film with Dakota Johnson coming to Netflix

After a disappointing debut at the box office, Madame Web is preparing for a second chance. The film, intended as a spin-off of Spider-Man and set in the universe being built by Sony in collaboration with Marvel Studios, was not included in the Spider-Verse. It is therefore simply set in a parallel universe where Spider-Man is not present.

Dakota Johnson plays the protagonist, trying her hand at the role of a superhero for the first time. Although the film did not shine at the box office, it is coming to the Netflix streaming platform. When? The streaming giant has announced the release date on its platform of the latest superhero-proof chapter from Sony-Marvel. The film is expected to stream on May 14, 2024, at least in the United States.

Received lukewarmly at the box office and with strong resistance from critics, Madame Web is led by a female cast that offers different variations of Spider Woman and a protagonist capable of predicting the future. Her name is Cassandra Web and she is a character born first on paper, protagonist of Marvel comics. Dakota Johnson played her on screen, but alongside her we also find Sydney Sweeney in the role of Juila Corwall who later becomes Spider Woman, Isabela Merced is Anya Corazon (also Spider Woman) and Celeste O'Connor is Mattie Franklin ( third Spider Woman).
