The 77th edition of Cannes Film Festival took place in Cannes from May 14th to May 25th, 2024. Among the biggest premieres this year was George Miller's "Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga".
Forty-five years after George Miller first unleashed his dystopian vision on the world, the "Mad Max" saga roars back with its fifth installment. This time, the spotlight is on Furiosa, the fierce, one-armed trucker who stole the show in 2015's "Mad Max: Fury Road." Charlize Theron might have wowed us last time, but now it's Anya Taylor-Joy, the star of "The Queen's Gambit", stepping into Furiosa's boots. She's set to go head-to-head with the "Thor" star aka Chris Hemsworth, who transforms into the menacing, bearded biker warlord, Dementus.
Onepress TV was there and watched the movie, all we can say is that It's a wild ride. We prepared a short Youtube video where we talk about the movie and bring you closer to the red carpet and press conference held in Cannes. Take a look at it!
About the Film:
According to Variety, the first thing to say about “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga” is that it’s not like any other “Mad Max” film. Amid the world's downfall, Furiosa is taken by a gang of bikers under the warlord Dementus. On their journey through the Wasteland, they reach the Citadel, ruled by Immortan Joe. With these two despots battling for power, Furiosa faces many challenges to return home.
