New pictures of Ana de Armas as Marilyn!

Let's face it: there is one and there will always be one Marilyn Monroe. An icon of style, the poster child of Pop Art, and a forever young diva, Marilyn is probably the most awe-inspiring figure in the entertainment industry to this day.

However, many great actresses have got the courage and honor to portray her greatness, as well as her struggles, in beautiful films: from Michelle Williams in My Week with Marilyn to Theresa Russell in Insignificance. Now it's Spanish actress Ana de Armas' turn to shine.

The biopic about the 60s actress has been in the making for quite a while now, but this week new official pictures of the character and the teaser trailer have just been shared: the resemblance is uncanny.

Blonde, the biopic directed by Andrew Dominik, is based on the homonym novel Blonde by Joyce Carol Oates and will explore deep and controversial sides of Monroe, both in the artistic and private fields; it is in fact been rated NC-17. The cast on De Armas' side will be composed of Adrien Brody, Bobby Cannavale, and Julianne Nicholson.

The movie will come out soon on September 23rd on Netflix, however, rumor has it that we could get anticipation at the Venice Film Festival. Let's hope and see!
