New trailer releases for World War 2 drama ”Operation Mincemeat”!

The year is 1943 and the Second World War has been raging for four years. Most of Europe lies trampled under Adolf Hitler’s German war machine. The Allies hatch an ingenious plan in an attempt to loosen Hitler’s grip on Europe. Two British intelligence officers come up with a daring plan to mislead the German army as to the location of the Allies’ next attack, using a dead body carrying false documents.

This operation of military deception was named Operation Mincemeat, and is now being dramatized for the big screen. Director John Madden is helming the story, being known for previous films like ”Proof” and ”Shakespeare in Love”. Colin Firth stars as Ewen Montagu, one of the British intelligence officers vital to executing the plan. His colleague Charles Cholmondeley is played by Matthew Macfadyen, known from ”Pride and Prejudice” and ”Death at a Funeral”.

"Operation Mincemeat" will be released in theaters on April 15. A new trailer has just been released, giving us a taste of what seems to be a fittingly serious, yet also quite entertaining take on one of the most bizarre true stories from World War 2. Check it out below!
