Starman David Bowie is getting a new figure at Madame Tussauds London

We unveiled never-before-seen photos from David Bowie's 1983 session with our artists today in honor of his 75th birthday and revealed the development of a new statue of the late, great icon of sound and vision. The second David Bowie statue to appear at our renowned Baker Street attraction is this one.

Bowie, who was raised in London, unveiled his first statue at the height of his Let's Dance phase in 1983. Bowie participated actively in the original design of his likeness. In a meeting with our artists in June 1983, he provided countless exact measurements, hair, and skin color references, and other details that helped to ensure every detail was accurate, right down to the anisocoria that gave Bowie his distinctive gaze.
