From the end of February, (500) Days Together star Joseph Gordon-Levitt will hit Showtime with Super Pumped, a new anthological series of which, the first season, will be telling the story of Travis Kalanick, the co-founder of Uber. It was written by the ideators of Billions Brian Koppelman and David Levien, the cast will also include Oscar nominee Uma Thurman and Emmy winner Kyle Chandler.
The series will be based on the homonymous book by Mike Isaac Super Pumped: The Battle for Uber retracing the story of the renowned society which incorporates Silicon Valley’s essence. This season will be exploring and picturing Kalanick and his relationship with his mentor Bill Gurley, a famous Texan capitalist who is ready to gamble his whole reputation and career on Uber’s success. Uma Thurman, instead, will be playing Arianna Huffington, founder of Huffington Post, who was past of the administration of the new private car transportation service taking care of its promotion.
