The Last of Us with Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsay

The video game The last of Us is currently being produced and adapted by and for HBO, with Pedro Pascal playing Joel and Bella Ramsay playing Ellie. But even though it will become a tv show, the original plan was to produce a movie for the big screens. Shortly after its announcement, it was cancelled.

The co-president of Naughty Dog, the producer of the video game, explained that the reason for the movie's cancellation was that they wanted to make the story bigger and tell it more in depth.

There is no release date yet for the tv show.
