Vin Diesel is returning for the fourth movie in the Riddick franchise, Riddick 4: Furya. Universal Pictures announced they wanted to do a fourth Riddick movie in 2014. Later on, in 2015, Vin Diesel announced that the movie will be called Furya and will be R-rated. However, the production of the film got put on hold, and now new information about the movie has finally been released.
In February 2023, Riddick 4: Furya was confirmed to be in active development, and it was also announced that filming with the star Vin Diesel was due to start. Later on, in March 2023, David Twohy confirmed that his and Vin Diesel’s focus is now on the Riddick 4: Furya film. Recently, Diesel shared a post on social media that offered a new look at the upcoming film. The post was a new image of concept art that teases new abilities that the character will have.
Details of the film have not yet been released. However, we can expect the plot to be about the origin of the character Riddick. This hence to the official film description that reads: “In the new film, Riddick finally returns to his home world, a place he barely remembers and one he fears might be left in ruins by the Necromongers”. One thing is for sure, the fans’ long wait for the fourth movie of the Riddick franchise will be worth it.
