In 2024 we will get a sequel to Dirty Dancing with Jennifer Grey returning in her role as Baby. Both old and new faces are expected to return to the movie 37 years after the original that also starred Patrick Swayze.
Dirty Dancing takes place in 1963 at Catskills mountains in upstate New York. Here we get to know Frances “Baby” Houseman (played by Jennifer Grey) and her family while at this resort. Baby is raised in very privileged surroundings and is expected to go to college and follow in her fathers footsteps. Everything takes an unexpected change when she meets the camp's dance instructor Johnny Castle (played by the late Patrick Swayze), a man whose background is much different from her own.
Now it is confirmed there will be a Dirty Dancing 2 where Jennifer Grey returns in her role as Baby and that the story takes us to the 1990’s. Her story will be weaved together with a new young girl while on a summer adventure.
Dirty Dancing will premiere during 2024.
