The Venice Film Festival opens with Noah Baumbach’s “White Noise”

Oops! They did it again. Noah Baumbach and Adam Driver’s fifth collaboration together, “White Noise,” is set to make history at the 2022 Venice Film Festival. Among drivers are Greta Gerwig, Don Cheadle, Raffey Cassidy, Sam Nivola, May Nivola, Lars Eidinger, Andre Benjamin and Jodie Turner-Smith.

The movie is inspired by Don DeLillos’ 1985 satire novel. As it’s described, the film "dramatizes a contemporary American family's attempts to deal with the mundane conflicts of everyday life while grappling with the universal mysteries of love, death, and the possibility of happiness in an uncertain world."

The premiere on Netflix is planned for December 30.
