The trailer for Tom Hardy's Venom: Let There Be Carnage was recently released.
The symbiote Venom and his host Eddie Brock will battle against Carnage, another symbiote played by Woody Harrelson. With Carnage being a Marvel Comics villain, many are now confused and excited to see the connection between the MCU and Sony Pictures Universe.
Marvel and Sony have a deal that Spider-Man can appear in movies produced by both studios and in the trailer for Venom 2, there were hints that the Avengers could be in the same timeline. How this all correlates remains to be seen. Venom: Let There Be Carnage is releasing in September and Spider-Man: No Way Home in december, meaning that we might get some answers by the end of the year.
