The famous historical drama “Vikings” is about to have its spin-off!
Netflix has just revealed the synopsis for “Vikings: Valhalla”: set a hundred years after the events of the original series, the story takes place in a time of great tension between the Vikings and the British. War is about to explode, and we will see how three famous Vikings, the legendary explorer Leif Eriksson (played by Sam Corlett), his sister and Old Norse religious leader Freydis Eriksdotter (played by Frida Gustavsson), and the ambitious Nordic prince Harald Sigurdsson (played by Leo Suter) deal with it.
The spin-off will be produced by “Vikings” original creators Michael Hirst and Jeb Stuart, who will also serve as showrunner.
“Vikings: Valhalla” is set to premiere on February 25, 2022 on Netflix.
