What are Adam Sandler and George Clooney doing in Italy?

The filming of a movie featuring the two great actors, George Clooney and Adam Sandler, directed by Noah Baumbach, is underway. The film is produced by Film Production Consultants for Netflix and will be released in 2025 on the popular streaming platform. We know it will be called "Jay Kelly," but the plot is still under wraps for now. We only know that it won't be set in present times.

In the past week, the two stars have been busy filming in Northern Italy, particularly in Milan, in a corner of the central train station, near platform 20, with about twenty extras dressed in nineties attire.

Afterwards, from May 2nd to 8th, filming will move to Caorso, a town in the lower province of Piacenza, where the parking lot on Via Torta will serve as a base for trailers and dressing rooms, while other locations designated to allow the filming of the movie to take place in total safety include the Station square and the Alpini park. Around 300 professionals are currently involved in the film's Emilia Romagna locations.

Despite this mysterious production, the Hollywood feature film is said to move to locations in Val d'Orcia in Tuscany, where the operational base will be in Pienza, but scenes will also be shot in Arezzo and Montecatini. According to local magazines and newspapers, 4-5 days of filming are also planned in a prestigious location a few kilometers from Montalcino.

The cast, as well as Clooney and Sandler, includes other actors such as Italian Alba Rohrwacher and international stars such as Billy Crudup, Emily Mortimer, Isla Fisher, Jim Broadbent, Josh Hamilton, Laura Dern, Patrick Wilson, Riley Keough (Elvis Presley's granddaughter), and finally Greta Gerwig, Noah Baumbach's partner, who is the film's director and co-writer of Barbie.
