What to Expect from the Action Scenes in Mission Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One

The new Paramount Pictures movie Mission Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, directed by Christopher McQuarrie is set to premiere on July 12, 2023. It will be the beginning of the two-part story that will end the long journey of Tom Cruise’s Ethan Hunt.

Like previous Mission Impossible films, we can expect this movie to have amazing action scenes. Tom Cruise is known for doing his own stunts which we will also see in this movie. Christopher McQuarrie has revealed that we will see Tom Cruise jumping off of a cliff on a motorcycle but also that the production managed to wreck a 7—ton train for a big action set piece. McQuarrie said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that: “We’re enormous fans of Buster Keaton, John Frankenheimer, David Lean, all of these filmmakers who at one time or another had a fabulous train wreck. I thought, I've earned that, I want to wreck one too”.

The cast will consist of plenty of new faces however, we will also see some of the actors that have starred in previous films of the franchise. We will of course have the protagonist Ethan Hunt played by the talented Tom Cruise. Joining him will be stars such as Rebecca Ferguson as Ilsa Faust, Ving Rhames as Luther Stickell, Simon Pegg as Benji Dunn, Vanessa Kirby as White Widow, Henry Czerny as former IMF director Kittridge and Hayley Atwell as Grace. New faces include, for instance, stars Pom Klementieff, Shea Whigham and Esai Morales.

The first 20 minutes of the film debuted during CinemaCon. Paramount Global’s chief Bob Bakish then explained that “It’s like a complete thrill ride. And Tom, he’s very good,”. Earlier this year the president of Paramount, Brian Robbins, said” “And we have no doubt that this new picture will set the bar even higher”.

The premiere is getting closer every day and fans are getting more eager to watch Mission Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One. The movie will surely not disappoint, and it will leave us excited for Part Two.
