Woman of the Hour: Anna Kendrick's Bad Date with a Serial Killer

Netflix has released the trailer for Woman of the Hour, directed by and starring Anna Kendrick.

What is it about?

The film is based on the unsettling true story of Rodney Alcala, a serial killer who infamously appeared on the 1970s TV show The Dating Game during his killing spree. In the trailer, Kendrick’s character, Cheryl Bradshaw, finds herself on a bad date that turns terrifying as she unwittingly interacts with Alcala.

Kendrick plays the role of Bradshaw, the bachelorette who picked Alcala as her date, unaware of his horrific double life. The trailer teases tense scenes, capturing the blend of dark humour and unnerving danger, as it retells one of the most bizarre and disturbing moments in television history.

The film is set to explore themes of manipulation, media spectacle, and the dangers lurking behind seemingly charming personalities. Woman of the Hour will be available for streaming on Netflix soon, adding another chilling title to the platform’s collection of true crime content.
