Directed by Lawrence Lamont and produced by Issa Rae, the film stars Keke Palmer as Dreux, an ambitious and quick-witted waitress, alongside SZA, making her film debut as Alyssa, a free-spirited artist. The story follows the duo as they navigate a whirlwind day in Los Angeles, desperately trying to gather rent money before facing eviction. The film’s vibrant energy combines laugh-out-loud moments with heartfelt emotional beats, showcasing the highs and lows of their friendship.
