Woody Allen is going to make his 50th film. Will he really be retired after that?
There’s no details about the plot of the upcoming movie. But Allen described it to be similar to “Match Point,” in that it would be “exciting, dramatic and also very sinister.” Filming is scheduled to begin this fall in Paris. The whole picture will be shot in French.
The director told Spanish newspaper “La Vanguardia” he is tired from the movie business and dedicate more time to writing. Later his spokesperson denied reports of retirement. Allen meant he was “thinking about not making films, as making films that go straight to streaming platforms is not so enjoyable for him”.
Even though the famous director has no intention of retiring and is very excited to be in Paris shooting his new movie, later he is going to write a memoir, but a humorous novel. It’s not new to him. Previously Allen has already written several books: "Side Effects", "Riverside Drive", "Featherless" and others.
